i’m ivy evergreen! it's nice to meet you.
my work spans disciplines — games, music, visual art, biology, electronics, and more.
i’m drawn to decay, transformation, and freedom: of individuals, of groups, of places, of ideas.
alongside this, i care about democratizing hobbyist biology- which i view as under-explored but important for personal and collective autonomy in the face of increasing corporate control.
not everything i make fits cleanly within these ideas, but they echo through much of my work. i'm most at home between mediums, especially through games, music, and visual art.
i’m rooted in the bay area, and in local queer art and music communities that i care about supporting.
i started by making games, trained as a computer scientist and game designer, researched diseases for a few years as a computational biologist, and have returned again to making games.
i’m always looking for collaborators, friends, and new communities to grow with :)
